"Somewhere in Brooklyn, between THEN and NOW,
there was an old, shady landlord named MR. ZHOU.
He owned an odd looking building, poorly maintained,
the hallway was always dirty and the stairs were stained.
Mice and roaches were everywhere to be found,
the walls were so thin you could hear every sound.
the floor was crumbling and the doors were bent,
but that didn't stop Zhou from claiming the rent.
Every time he came to collect,
BANG BANG BANG! on the door he went.
"Are you home??" he used to loudly inquire
and after 5, maybe 6 attempts he would reluctantly retire.
I remember that before leaving this building,
Just when I was getting ready to depart,
I couldn't help but thinking:
Could it be that Mr. Zhou DOES have a heart?"
